This place doesn't look like much from the outside but definitely a hidden little gem of a sandwich shop. Food was served fast and portions were huge, all the sandwiches are easily shareable by 2. Fried apps were delicious and food came out quickly! Star of the show for us was the double ham and cheese.

Such a fantastic dive - food is exactly what you'd expect: consistent and plentiful. Surprised by the Wednesday Special. Spend $10 and get a slice of their ahhhmazing peanut butter pie or a cinnamon roll. TBH I really went there for the pie! Ended up with the fish dinner. Fried fish better than most places, too many fries (but you just have to try to eat them all anyway) and minced Cole slaw. It's the perfect slaw for a southern hot dog, but that's not on the menu. Pie went home with me.

I wondered what the hype was all about and initially felt it was just the lack of competition since this is a dive diner in the middle of nowhere. When we first walked in I thought "this is it?" The parking lot was full, but the seating section was tiny and felt very old school. It turns out there are two dining areas. You have to walk between the kitchen and the cash register to get to the bigger half. We'll try that next time because the smaller section felt cramped. The food is decent, the prices are great, and the portions are huge so the budget-friendly convenience for the hungry people could be the draw. That's why we will be back and it's also why I'm giving them four stars even though the quality of the food and atmosphere would usually only give them three from me. I do appreciate a good value when I'm feeling too lazy to cook. The burgers were recommended to us, and who doesn't love a good burger! They are smash burgers and they are huge! Too big to pick up because the burger extended way beyond the bun. We used forks to whittle them down until we could pick them up. They were flavorful and cooked perfectly. I wish someone had told me how HUGE the sides are. We absolutely could have shared an order of tots. It's big enough to feed your whole family. We also enjoyed the cheese curds, but again, huge portion. Next time we'll split the fried mushrooms. Side note, we wanted to order another cheap beer and dessert, but the server never came back so we gave up and left, after paying the bill at the counter.

This is about as far away from a "fast food restaurant" as you can get! If you come here be prepared to wait for your order because everything seems to be made to order. In a world where almost everything in a restaurant is fast and somewhat "pre-made" Capricorn is a pleasant diversion from that. If you are old enough, you might feel as if you stepped through a "time warp" and you are back in the 1950's. The service was wonderful, and the burgers harken back to a time when everything was made to order. Back in the 50's my parents, and probably everyone else, didn't have a Credit Card, so everything was paid for in cash or with a personal check. Cash is the rule at Capricorn also, My wife and I ordered double cheeseburgers and decided to share a Brownie. Thank goodness we decided to share it. The Brownie was the largest one we have ever seen at a restaurant. I had used YELP to find restaurants in the Wilmington area. The Capricorn came up as #1. That really intrigued me because it wasn't in the city of Wilmington. If you want an experience, and/or just good food, this just might be right place for you! Not fancy, but step back into the 1950's when not much was fancy. Where I am from, Howard Johnson's was as fancy as it got.

My favorite burgers place in Wilmington, OH is Rods restaurant. Delicious it's the best restaurant in 45177

If you can find the place you're in for some good food and good prices. I didn't understand how they have a restaurant way out in the middle of nothing and how it does so well. The service was friendly, portions beyond generous and reasonable prices. For some reason I had a cash convenience charge of $1.75. The price quickly went up with that nonsense charge, $3.00 to put cheese on the french fries, and ticky-tack charges. When I left, I let out some farts and pulled them back Inn.

We've passed this place a few times on a our way to Cowan Lake to do some camping. This time we made a point of making this a camping meal. I picked up a to go order and we ate our burgers at the camper. First, the amount of fries you get is over the top. And the burgers. Yea. I'm not a burger person. I never order burgers when I eat out. After reading the reviews I decided to break this habit. We will be ordering from Capricorn Inn EVERY time we camp in the area and I will get the burger EVERY time. Food was hot, fries crispy. Worth a drive to this spot!

Local dive spot. All American food with a friendly down home atmosphere. Crowded on a Saturday. Juke box for some fun. Friendly servers but slow service. One reco: please get the servers some trays to carry the food so they don't have to stack plates on top of other peoples food.
